I purchased this charger to provide a much faster way to charge all of different types of batteries I have for my projects. This consistently outputs 72-75 amps for the duration of the charge cycle. While it’s not quiet, I do not find it to be unreasonably loud either. I really appreciate the current adjustable knob on the device, although I wish it was easier to adjust. If you need a 12 or 24 volt charger, and want something that’s high-quality, this is your purchase.
One word of caution – if you leave your battery on (some BMS’s will let you turn off the output) and you leave this charger connected, but off, there is a parasitic power draw for the internal relay anywhere from 15-30 mA. However, if you leave the charger on and connected, it outputs enough current to negate the amount of power that’s consumed by the internal relay.

Great charger from AIMS. Perhaps a bit overkill if you’re just charging 1 battery then putting it in your solar system but if you want a solid yet flexible 120V converter charger this does it all. This can charge 4 different battery chemistries, including lithium, with unique parameters for each battery type. For a 24V battery bank, like I have, this is worth its weight in gold. I can charge each battery at 12V individually, then once connected up as 24V I can charge the batteries using the same device .
The 2 stage fan stays in low speed if the charge current dial is adjusted to its lowest output setting (19A @ 12V / 9.5A @ 24V). The fan is loud if pushing the rated current but the fan does a great job keeping the device cool (5.5 hours was my longest charge and it didn’t break a sweat).

I bought two of these, one each 12V/24V and 36V/48V. I have two off-grid solar power systems, and I needed a way to charge my 24V system battery bank on those rare times when solar just can’t keep up. For my 48V system, I wanted a back up charger.
These converter/chargers are very compact, easy to install, configure and I had them up an running in less than an hour each. I installed them as a permanent part of each system. When needed, I just turn them on and they charge my battery banks. The only one issue I have with them is the fans. I have the current on maximum, and the fans are very loud. Other than that, These are great chargers that are very flexible and configurable covering all my needs.
Whether you have 12V/24V or 48V, Lead Acid, AGM or Lithium batteries, these have the bases covered. I think they are a great value for the price and performance. 5 stars all the way!
