These are Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LiFePO4) Cells for DIY battery assemblies commonly used in solar systems, RVs, boats, OTR trucks and large scale energy storage.  We have three capacity choices, 170ah and 202ah, and 302ah model numbers EA170, EA200, and EA300 respectively.  We have extremely limited stock of 302ah cells.  The stock quantity will update when we have more of them in stock.  Please do not spam our inbox asking when they will be in stock, when we have an estimated arrival date, we will post it in the variation description.Add the number of cells desired to your cart.

These cells are 3.2v cells and include M6 serrated nuts. They need to be connected together with the appropriate bus bars, available in Copper and Aluminum.  Our default quantity is 1 busbar per cell, so a 4 cell pack would get 4 busbars.  You will also need  a battery management system,  sold separately.  If you need help to determine which BMS you need, feel free to contact us.

Buy additional bus bars here.  Please note this size is slotted to fit both EA170 and EA200:

We recommend securing the cells together with VHB tape and rigidly fixturing the cells to prevent stress on the terminals caused by movement.  Buy VHB Tape here:

This product is not a pre-designed all inclusive kit, such as those found here:

EnerAmp Batteries are  A-grade cells, load tested and balanced at the factory. The guaranteed capacity is at least 170ah for EA170 and 202ah for EA200, with an internal resistance less than 0.3 milliohms.

Typically, 4 or more of these cells will be wired in series or parallel-series with a Battery Management System (BMS) to create a 12 volt battery, 8 cells for a 24v battery, or 16 cells for a 48v battery, with a suitable BMS. They may be paralleled at a cell level to increase your overall capacity (Ah).

Our permanent, laser welded M6 threaded studs are paired with the included serrated nuts ensuring a strong connection that will last for years, without the worry of loose interconnections or stripped cells.

It is very important to use a BMS to manage these cells.
LiFePO4 chemistry is easily damaged by over charging, over discharging, over/under temperature, and especially low temperature charging.  Use a BMS that monitors each series-connected cell (or group of parallel connected cells) and has a low-temperature cutoff.

Balancing: These cells are balanced from the factory on a per shipment basis. We have tested this specification and found that they will reliably charge all the way up to 3.450v per cell in a 4 cell pack before any one cell exceeds 3.650v with a standard BMS. If you are building packs larger than 1p4s, we recommend either top balancing them yourself, or utilizing our balancing & capacity test service.

FAQ

What are EnerAmp Batteries?

EnerAmp Batteries are our own line of LiFePO4 Batteries.  We launched EnerAmp Batteries in Febuary of 2021 with the mission to provide batteries to USA-based customers, with quick shipping times, lower shipping rates, rigorous quality control, US based 10 year warranty and English technical support. EnerAmp cells are warehoused in Valley Springs, California (USA) and are interconnected with Buss Bars fabricated in Manteca, California.

Why not buy cheap cells from China?

It has been our experience that when you buy cells from China, it may appear that they are far less expensive – this is nothing but false.  Often times you will find a great deal on batteries, but the shipping to get them from China costs nearly as much as the batteries themselves!  When you order EnerAmp batteries you will expect to have them shipped within 24 hours, and at your door in 2-7 days by UPS Ground, depending on how far from our warehouse in California you are located.  We even offer free local pickup!  No need to worry about shipping by sea and waiting 3 months just to realize you got ripped off with fake, B-Grade, used, or even totally faulty cells!  We also offer standard payment methods, so no need to setup a sketchy wire transfer that cannot be cancelled.  We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal.

Current Connected has a industry-leading 10 year warranty that puts the customer first.  You can read the full policy here.  If you are having trouble getting your system up and running, we are available during normal business hours (9-5 PST), and we can help you both by E-mail or over the phone!  Try getting that from a China-based vendor.

What quality are these cells?

We do not sell any used products, without making it obvious to you.  We assure you that every EnerAmp battery is a top-quality, brand new cell.  “Grade-a” is ambiguous and has no standard definition in industry, however the quality of these cells far surpasses what China gets away with calling “Grade-A+”. When you receive an EA170, you can test and observe that a 170Ah cell will output an actual capacity of 173-175Ah at 100% DOD (3.65v – 2.8v).  EnerAmp cells are rated at 80% remaining capacity after 5000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge.  If you discharge to 100% depth of discharge, you can expect to see a 20% reduction in cycle life.

Many thanks to the crew at Current Connected! My Eneramp batteries arrived in perfect condition and I have to say they are perfect for my system build.

  2. Mitch (verified owner)

I purchased the EA200 cells a couple of months ago and could not be happier with them. After seeing all of the questionable cells and suspect reviews across the internet, I decided that buying from a local warehouse, from a reputable seller, was the way to go. Thanks CurrentConnected.com! My new batteries were individually wrapped in 5mm high-density foam, and each of those were placed in a heavy-walled cardboard box that was additionally lined with 20mm thick foam sheet. The packaging was superb and as a result, I had NO battery damage. Each cell was perfect and had no signs of bulging. I top balanced the cells, as is tradition in LiFePO4 builds, and used my CBA IV battery tester to do the industry standard 0.2C load test. I paid for 200 aH and I received 207 aH! I then permanently assembled the battery using similar methods that have been outlined in the battery build videos from this website. Because the batteries were nice and flat, I had no issues sticking them together with the 3M VHB and Kapton tape. When it came time to configure the BMS, I had a few questions – I reached out to support and provided my specific configurations and settings, and was pleased to receive a very quickly response which provided the feedback I needed and some additional suggestions for my setup. The fact that I was using a competitors BMS never even came up; this company helped me regardless. I’ve been cycle testing these batteries for a couple of weeks now, before they go into my project, and every single time, they perform exactly as I’d expect them to. I am extremely happy with my purchase and the instant I need to build another battery, I’ll be flying back here to pick up more cells.
